Nestled at the southern end of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Chain in northern New Mexico, Bishop’s Ridge: Stoney Camp and Recreation Center is the perfect setting for a group camping experience as well as for a private retreat. Enjoy a time of rest, relaxation, play, and spiritual renewal surrounded by enormous pine trees, wide-open blue sky, wildlife, and abundant sunshine. Spanning more than 200 acres at 7,400 feet above sea level, the Stoney Camp and Recreation Center bridges the gap between the serenity of rugged wilderness and the modern conveniences of city life. Situated on the historic Old Santa Fe Trail, it is only 25 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza and only 45 minutes from the Santa Fe Ski Basin.
Bishop's Ridge: Stoney Camp & Recreation Center has been an inviting presence in the Episcopal Diocese of the Rio Grande to the young of our diocese for 50 years. In 2017 we celebrate the Golden Anniversary of this beautiful retreat with continuing to have a summer camping program and inviting groups wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. If you are new to Bishop's Ridge: Stoney Camp & Recreation Center or an Alumni from before there was a physical Camp Stoney, or somewhere in-between. Welcome!
